Reframe your identity, reclaim your rights

On 27 November 2025, Voninga Foundation hosted a live podcast session titled “Reframe Your Identity, Reclaim Your Rights” at House of Worship International (H.O.W.I) in Phalaborwa. The initiative is part of the foundation’s Trauma to Triumph series and is now available on the Trauma to Triumph Podcast within the Voninga Network on YouTube.

The session was hosted by Kurhula Hlomane, Director of Voninga Foundation, who guided the discussions with insight and empathy, creating a safe and engaging environment for all participants.

The live audience included GBV survivors, first responders, and community members, fostering an interactive and supportive space for dialogue. Special guests featured:

  • Morapedi Mocumi, a proud single father, who shared his personal journey and lessons on resilience.
  • Apostle & Attorney Lofty Tshabalala, who provided legal perspectives on rights and empowerment.
  • Benevolence Mphuti, who shared experiences and guidance on navigating challenges related to personal identity.
  • Masu Mathye, who courageously shared her GBV story to raise awareness and inspire change.
  • Ms. Jay Nkuna from the Office of the Public Protector, who highlighted the role of government institutions in protecting rights and supporting survivors of abuse.

Through personal testimonies, expert guidance, and interactive discussions, the live podcast encouraged attendees to reflect on their experiences, reframe negative narratives, and step into their power.

By sharing this live session on the Trauma to Triumph Podcast, Voninga Foundation extends the message of empowerment beyond the immediate audience, allowing anyone to learn, reflect, and find inspiration to reclaim their identity and rights.
