Intuition leading to purpose
Marcia Mashigwane
Marcia Mashigwane’s journey is a powerful story of faith, resilience, and purpose shaped by her upbringing in a close-knit family in Turfloop, Limpopo, where she learned the value of community and togetherness. Guided by intuition and unwavering belief, she pursued a career in geology—overcoming financial challenges, missed opportunities, and uncertain paths with courage and determination. From boldly seeking in-service training in the Western Cape with no guarantees, to making difficult career decisions that aligned with her vision, Marcia consistently chose growth over comfort.
Today, she is a qualified geologist, a Women in Mining speaker, and co-founder of the Be Still and Know Conference, a platform empowering women through conversations on mental health, GBV, entrepreneurship, and personal development. Her story reflects a deep commitment to not only rise in her own life, but to uplift and connect others, living out her purpose of bringing healing and wholeness to those around her.
